Chair Thoughts 2

My first assignment for the furniture class is to design a chair-or more a stool that is designed purely from the measurement and the function. These are the roots of furniture design. At Windsor Chairs in Lincolnville,MN they derive there designs from tradition Windsor chairs designs as well as Shaker designs. There stool design has four different heights; 12",18",24"and 30". The 12" is very clear in its function as a garden stool or maybe "making fire" stool. As the 30" would be used as a stool for a doctor at his computer in the examine room. Interesting how 4" can change the use of the object.
