Building longing.....

When I saw this bedspread in the designsponge sneek peak this past week I wanted to explore what makes a woman(mostly) make? The author of this is Brooklynite illustrator Sophie Blackall-she tells the story that she did the panel while riding on the subway....such a "mom" thing to do-making every minute count creatively. I have a new big crush on Sophie's current project "missed connections". Move over Maira, Sophie has human hope and longing down......
